WHO AM I?

Hello, my name is Marcus Hall, founder of Legacy Speed Academy.

I am a husband, father, United States Air Force veteran, and lifelong athlete with a passion for helping young athletes reach their full potential, both on and off the field.

My Athletic Background
Before becoming a coach, I was an athlete myself. I competed in football, track & field, and later served as a military physical fitness training leader. Today, I also see youth sports through the lens of a parent, raising and supporting a young soccer athlete of my own.

Growing up, I was always fast and coordinated. For a long time, I believed those abilities came naturally. But looking back, I now understand that my athleticism was built through a multi-sport upbringing that developed coordination, movement skill, and confidence from an early age.

That foundation... the ability to react, accelerate, and change direction efficiently, is essential for every athlete, regardless of sport.

Why I Started Legacy Speed Academy
I founded Legacy Speed Academy after noticing a growing gap in youth athlete development. Too many athletes are being pushed into early sport specialization without first building the fundamental movement skills they need to succeed long-term.

In many cases, this isn’t due to a lack of effort, it’s a lack of time and resources. Even great sport coaches often don’t have the capacity to teach both sport skills and proper athletic performance training.

Legacy Speed Academy was created to fill that gap.

My Coaching Philosophy
Through working with athletes of all ages and skill levels, I’ve learned that no two athletes are the same. Each has unique goals, abilities, and lifestyles.

My methodology focuses on developing:
-
Speed and agility
-
Coordination and movement efficiency
-
Confidence and mental resilience
Athletes train in a positive, high-energy environment designed to help them grow physically and mentally, while still having fun.

The Mission
I take pride in everything I do and strive to lead by example. My experiences as a former athlete, military fitness leader, and parent have shaped how I coach and how I connect with young athletes and their families.

My mission is simple:
No athlete should finish their career with untapped potential.

At Legacy Speed Academy, we don’t just train athletes, we help build confident, capable, and prepared young people ready for whatever comes next.

“The beauty of coaching is growing the players from the ground up. That journey continues.”
